The Hermetic Solutions Group team combines innovation, design support, products and material for defense programs including F-35, Patriot, Apache helicopter, Predator UAV,  Javelin and many more.

Our Comprehensive Range of Solutions

Hermetic Electronic Packaging

We bring customers’ hermetic electronic package designs to life using unique materials and manufacturing processes to help optimize weight saving where possible, footprint reduction, thermal transfer and more. Our precision machining capabilities allow us to meet very tight tolerances for aluminum, Kovar, and titanium housings. We deliver both custom and standard packaging solutions that ensure maximum protection for sensitive electronics whatever extreme environmental conditions they face in the field.

Hermetic Interconnect Products

Our MIL-DTL 83513 Micro-D, MIL-DTL 32139, Nano-D, MIL-C-24308 Sub-D, MIL-DTL 38999, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-348 connectors all meet or exceed their military specification standards. And we have largest selection of open tooling for headers and bases including JEDEC Outlines TO-18, TO-39, TO-8, TO-3, TO-37, TO-66. Our products feature ceramic-to-metal sealing or glass-to-metal sealing technology for maximum long-term reliability and high electrical performance. We’re ISO certified and test to MIL-STD-883.

Enabling Components

There is more to a reliable hermetic package solution than a box and connectors and we produce components to ensure a module’s long term viability. We manufacture getters to prevent post-hermetic sealing build-up of contaminants, solder preforms that aid in attaching electronic circuitry, ring frames that become integral side walls of a hermetic package, and custom thermal spreaders that ensure heat from a chip or substrate is efficiently dissipated. To top things off, we also manufacture package lids.

Laser and Integration Services

We provide high-speed laser welding, sealing and marking with consistent accuracy. For customers who wish to bring those capabilities in house, we also custom design and build laser welding, cutting & sealing systems – the same systems we use to provide external laser services.
