Waterjet Cutting

At the Hermetic Solutions Group, our waterjet cutting capabilities are often used in the fabrication process of our machined parts. Our CNC controlled waterjet systems use high-pressure water, mixed with an abrasive. The abrasive does the cutting through a mechanical sawing action, leaving a smooth, precision cut surface, which is critical for our customers’ precision dimensional requirements.

Our waterjet machines cut metals like aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, Kovar and more with extreme accuracy.

Waterjet systems give the Hermetic Solutions Group the ability to cut metal without interfering with its inherent structure because, like laser welding, this process does not create a heat-affected zone. This process minimizes the effects heat can have on metals being cut and does not change intrinsic metal properties. Sharp corners, bevels, pierce holes, and shapes with minimal inner radii are all possible.
