HSG Hires Bill Sommers as CFO

TINTON FALLS, NJ – February 5, 2018

Hermetic Solutions Group, a leading manufacturer of hermetic packaging, components and services announced the hiring of Bill Sommers as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Bill is a consummate team player and understands how to serve both his internal and external customers.  We look forward to having him on the team.”

Bill joins Hermetic Solutions Group with 30+ years of successive financial leadership roles, most recently as CFO at Icynene, a private equity sponsored manufacturer of spray foam insulation and also has direct finance experience in hermetic interconnect companies, where he worked for Ametek Inc.’s Engineered Materials, Interconnects and Packaging group.  Bill has an excellent track record in finance, IT and strategic development to foster organizational and business transformation.  With a B.S. in Accounting from Philadelphia University and an MBA from University of Delaware, Bill’s education and experience will support the anticipated growth of Hermetic Solutions Group.

After a short transition, Mike Kelley, our current CFO, will be retiring.  Mike has been an a critical team member and instrumental as we developed the finance and IT functions for Hi-Rel as well as in his key role in the merger of Hermetic Solutions Group and subsequent integration activities for all of its divisions.  We wish Mike the best of luck in his retirement.
